White Women NEED Help

I was reading the Washington Post today (online) and I came across a story about Natalee Holloway -- here's excerpts of it, plus my comments in italics

Someday historians will look back at America in the decade bracketing the turn of the 21st century and identify the era's major themes: Religious fundamentalism. Terrorism. War in Iraq. Economic dislocation. Bioengineering. Information technology. Nuclear proliferation. Globalization. The rise of superpower China.

Every few weeks, this stressed-out nation with more problems to worry about than hours in the day finds time to become obsessed with the saga -- it's always a "saga," never just a story -- of a damsel in distress.This type of yellow journalist drama should be regulated to the grocercy store fishwrap and those chump shows like Inside Edition, but these stories always are the lead on so-called news shows like CNN and Fox News Channel. And it's ALWAYS covered on the three network news channels, plus the othe bevy of cable news channel are up here giving us round the clock coverage -- at the expense of what I would consider real news, real debate and real investigative reporting (if such a thing is possible post-Reagan).

Before the Runaway Bride, there were too many damsels to provide a full list, but surely you remember the damsel elite: Laci Peterson. Elizabeth Smart. Lori Hacking. Chandra Levy. JonBenet Ramsey. We even found, or created, a damsel amid the chaos of war in Iraq: Jessica Lynch. Are you starting to see a pattern here?

The specifics of the story line vary from damsel to damsel. In some cases, the saga begins with the discovery of a corpse. In other cases, the damsel simply vanishes into thin air. Often, there is a suspect from the beginning -- an intruder, a husband, a father, a congressman, a stranger glimpsed lurking nearby.

Sometimes the tale ends well, or well enough, as in the cases of Smart and Lynch. Let's hope it ends well for Holloway. But more often, it ends badly. Once in a great while, a case like Runaway Bride comes along to provide comic relief.

But of course the damsels have much in common besides being female. You probably have some idea of where I'm headed here.I can see what the Post writer has to pussy-foot around the subject -- all these broads are white, and the majority are blondes

A damsel must be white. This requirement is nonnegotiable. It helps if her frame is of dimensions that breathless cable television reporters can credibly describe as "petite," and it also helps if she's the kind of woman who wouldn't really mind being called "petite," a woman with a good deal of princess in her personality. She must be attractive -- also nonnegotiable. Her economic status should be middle class or higher, but an exception can be made in the case of wartime (see: Lynch).

Put all this together, and you get 24-7 coverage. The disappearance of a man, or of a woman of color, can generate a brief flurry, but never the full damsel treatment. Since the Holloway story broke we've had more news reports from Aruba this past week, I'd wager, than in the preceding 10 years.

I have no idea whether the late French philosopher Jacques Derrida hung on every twist and turn of the Chandra Levy case; somehow, I doubt he did. But I suspect the apostle of "deconstructionism" would have analyzed the damsel-in-distress phenomenon by explaining that our society is imposing its own subconsciously chosen narrative on all these cases.

It's the meta-narrative of something seen as precious and delicate being snatched away, defiled, destroyed by evil forces that lurk in the shadows, just outside the bedroom window. It's whiteness under siege. It's innocence and optimism crushed by cruel reality. It's a flower smashed by a rock.

Or maybe (since Derrida believed in multiple readings of a single text) the damsel thing is just a guaranteed cure for a slow news day. The cable news channels, after all, have lots of airtime to fill.

This is not to mock any one of these cases (except Runaway Bride) or to diminish the genuine tragedy experienced by family and friends. I can imagine the helplessness I'd feel if a child of mine disappeared from a remote beach in the Caribbean. But I can also be fairly confident that neither of my sons would provoke so many headlines.

Whatever our ultimate reason for singling out these few unfortunate victims, among the thousands of Americans who are murdered or who vanish each year, the pattern of choosing only young, white, middle-class women for the full damsel treatment says a lot about a nation that likes to believe it has consigned race and class to irrelevance.

What it says is that we haven't. What it says is that those stubborn issues are still very much alive and that they remain at the heart of the nation's deepest fears.

Non-white men dicking down white woman and then disposing of them (either by leaving while they're sleeping or slicing their throats, although Black men know better because history has taught us not to ever go down that route) ALWAYS gets the tisk-tisk, as they're sharping up the knives and preparing the hot tar.

This Hollaway chick is dead, and lost at sea. There's no other smart explanation, 'cause if she was kidnapped where's the ransom? Now because there are whites and well as people of color involved in the disappearance, the white kid (whose pop is a judge) is going to get the best legal defense... the Aruban niggas, shit they is going to be hung or keelhauled or thrown to the sharks -- whatever they do in that part of the world for the Death Penalty.

Still what's going to irk the fuck out of me is what little girl's face is going to be a banner-ad on the CNN ticker later this summer?

And is it going to be something with a person of color is involved? True or not! Remember that one crazy-ass white women who executed her kids, then said some "nigger did it", remember her? That's gonna happen again, mark my words!

TV? Will it show Its ass or show Its heart?

The other day I got an mpeg of the failed TV pilot for this Warren Ellis comic book turned TV show GLOBAL FREQUENCY, and then I had a chance to read some thoughts on the show by the its TV creater John Rogers (see this site for John Rogers' comments) and I have to say it's too bad this show didn't get picked up.

I would suggest that most people should search TorrentSpy or some other torrent site to find this mpeg of the show and then watch it. It truly is one of those shows that injects faith into the human condition in a way that almost all shows eschew. The concept of the comic and show isn't for me to explain (I'd rather your get the torrent or get the collected graphic novels and experience yourself; eventhough I'm a writer, I don't want to cheapen another QUALITY writer's work by doing secondhand description.)

It would have been an interesting show, but it was slated to go on The WB? Like that channel has any good dramas... It could be a place for challenging TV, like what Fox was doing when it originally came on (and what Rupert Murdock allows on FX).

TV is doing some good shit of late, like OVER THERE and THE SHIELD and the upcoming HBO show ROME. But TV (or whatever episodic filmed entertainment is going to be in the future) needs to be able to address certain issues, ideas, genres and philosophies. GLOBAL FREQUENCY is a SciFi show that wasn't tryinig to be regulated to the SciFi Channel (although the updated Battlestar: Galatica is pretty amazing), it was trying to do what the original Star Trek and Johnnie Quest did back in the day -- attempt to reach the primetime audience with poignant stories or rollicking entertainment.

Damn, why does TV have to be so expensive to continue to produce.

Our two favorite heiress-cumburpers both claim that they want to avoid the media spotlight in a couple years, that the whole tabloid thing is so gauche, so passe (don't you love how French has all the cool words for wack-as-fuck, without cursing).

Well, these two are probably going to be grossly examined if NBC's new reality-expose show I WANT TO BE A HILTON lasts more than a few episodes. Premiereing tonight, we'l have to see just what it means to be spoiled rich, out of touch with what the bulk of the population deals with and

It's funny, back in the 1920s and 1930s, the movie industry (and Broadway) made tons of films that depicted the lives of America's artistocrats as people with foibles and relationship problems just like the rest of America, only they had fat bank accounts to help them in and out of scrapes that most of the audience found delightful, escapist and chucklesome.

However in the 21st century, being rich and acting like the rules don't apply (they never did, but at least it was kept in the backrooms and behind closed doors) with wanton sexual behavior and crass publicity hogging it seems gross. Sure we all love fucking and many of us have taped ourselves doing, so the sex isn't what is interesting. Somehow seeing Paris adequately swallowing cock in her video tape or acting like a complete slut for Carl's Jr. -- seen the ad? -- has tantalized and tainted our vision of what it means to be young with money.

Is Paris beautiful? Hard to say, we need to see her in the morning?

Is Nikki fun to be around? I don't think so, as we don't she her basely engaging everyone around her when a camera is on.

What about the Mom & Dad? How do they feel about the way they raised their children? Oh, I forgot they didn't raise their kids -- a slew of nannies and others did. Hmm... I guess we'll see if being a Hilton is about shit after tonight.

Information theft is THE crimeof the digital age... it's never going to be preventable, just like brick-n-motar crime isn't really preventable. So today when I read about MasterCard International having 40million carholders information jacked, it makes me wish it was a lot easier to get and keep cash.

For the past decade now it has become increasingly difficult to obtain, keep and use cash. Not that we the people don't have money, but that the digital age continues to ask us to rely on electronic means to pay for our goods and services. The digital age wants us to forget about using paper -- of any sort -- for consumer transactions. Consider those Visa CheckCard commercials, which basically tell the consumer don't use the greenback, shit, don't even use a check -- just use that little piece of plastic with the vulnerable magnetic strip on the back.

I figure it's only going to get worse, because ALL consumer information is being transfered to databases -- medical records, bills, banking info, DNA scans, shopping habits, whatever the fuck can be collected, analyzed and collated is going to be converted to one's and zero's whether we like it or not.

Pretty soon consumers, the young of today, will start seeing paper money with some sort of "cheap" stigma to it, opting for plastic, eschewing the lovely, tangible feel of that special U.S. Mint paper in one's fingertips.

Speaking of fingertips, the digital age is pushing to have consumer information embedded in a microchip that will be implanted in one's thumb or forefinger -- something that bums, panhandlers, thieves and street hustlers will no doubt (and easily) cut the fuck off to rob people in the near-future digital age.

The thing about Cash though is that criminals love it the most because it is virtually untraceable. For instance in Europe there is a ���500 note, that is the denomination of choice for the criminal element because it represents so much value in a think piece of paper. The ���500 note is banned in Portugal and soon to be in other Eastern Europe for the obvious reasons.

The biggest problem is that you don't know what information of yours is stolen, but not being used until a later date -- late around Christmas of 2007!

I'm looking to keep all my money in accounts that aren't tied to my debit/credit cards -- that way identity theft susceptiblity is reduced.

So it is... in Lagos, Nigeria, Gunmen who seized two German and four Nigerian oil workers are demanding petroleum giant Royal Dutch/Shell honor promises of jobs and benefits in the oil-rich south.

Royal Dutch/Shell controls the oil in Nigeria, not the Nigerians. In effect making Shell a shadow-member of OPEC. The caustic and ugly problem in Nigerian and all African Oil states is that Africans -- who's natural resource the oil is -- don't have the technology (and it and the money required to leverage it are stridently keep from the African regimes) to better their countries.

The kidnappers are dissatisfied with Shell's implementation of an agreement to provide nine communities bordering oil fields with jobs and basic social benefits. Now, if you read between the lines then you'll quickly see that what this means is the Shell, like all Occidental powers, is doing it's most conniving to keep Africans poor and struggling. And I think I know why. See if the states in Africa got their act together like China, then the global economic shift would transfer tons and tons of wealth to Africans -- as their countries are the most natural resource rich ON THE PLANET and the labor costs would undercut even the Chinese.

The World Bank, IMF, Trilateral Commission and the G8 (not to mention all the cats who gather in Davos every year) wouldn't want this to happen.

The Iduwuni National Union for Peace and Development group claimed responsibility for the Wednesday kidnapping of the six employees of a German contractor for Shell.

Okay, so he's not guilty -- at least of these charges, but perhaps the diposed king of pop is guilty of some sort of malfeascene. He's paid money before to make the kid-fucker allegations go away, so whatever Michael does he needs to change his way of living.

Why is it now, after the trial comes out in favor of the defendant, are all the pundits and media talking haeds claiming that the prosecution tried a questionable case, and that they really played themselves with the conspiracy charge (which is the only reason by that bizarre as mother was up on the stand, making a SUPREME fool out of herself).

Everyone claims that the Jacko camp isn't going to go after these people for malicious intent -- I would, starting with that retiring DA who was crusading against Jacko -- I'd go after him to drain his retirement money. Teach him a lesson for holding a grudge when he's sipping gruel at some old folks home in Tijuana ('cause this city is going to implode kind of soon).

Well, this is interesting: first Puffy, then Kobe and now Michael -- star niggas who HAD MONEY ENOUGH to say "fuck off" to the justice system that has habit of chomping at the bit whenever a high-profile nigga gets in trouble.

As they say, The Jury Is Still Out... but that doesn't mean that Jacko is going sit through the Verdict Stage or a possible sentencing.

Jacko operates above the law, or at least he believes that he does, for so damn long it's obscene. He's bribed his way out of many a legal scrape in the past (greasing the right palms is a way of life in most 3rd World countries, but it's steadily on the rise in the US, and has always been accepted -- if done right).

Unfortunately for Jackson, the public has already tarred and feathered The Gloved One -- a long fucking time ago. The head-scratching behavior that dude has exhibited for almost two decades now has numbed us to what's going on in Jacko's life. We been bludgeoned with so much "what the fuck is that?" over the years (particularly since Jacko has become a father) that at this point we just want to see what's going to happen, to see how this once-beloved figured swirls down the toilet with bubbly, brown shit percolating in the mix.

Sadly, Jacko's music career is DONE. Unlike people like Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stone and The Eagels, there is no Jacko tours that anyone what's see -- the music videos (an art form he helped create) is THE way we want to remember him. Not this wispy, rag-doll of a bitch-man that keeps showing up in court or on "how could you authorize that" TV specials. I read somewhere that Andre Hurrell (or maybe it was LA Reid) said he would work with Jacko on a music album -- bascially on GP.

I still think that Jacko needs to stage a kidnapping, then show up in Bali or Java late next summer with a whole new persona and then decide not to come back to the United States. All these fallen celebrities (notably the niggas, i.e. Orenthal James) paly themselves by remaining the US. A country that will bring its celebrities to highest pinnacle of fame and attention, but will relish the fall much more than the rise, it doesn't make sense to live out your the rest of your life with that history/baggage. People always asking, looking, pointing, just doing that dumb shit Americans do. Live someplace else where you can make your diminished fortune last longer.

I just want to know what Jacko is going to do once this is over -- what's his appeal going to look like if he does get convicted? What happens to Neverland Ranch?

This janky-ass Mexican so-called leader made some caustic-ass comments that stem from a SUPREME level of ignorance of American Blacks and their still-fucked-up treatment in the laughably called "Land of the Free, Home of the Brave" aka the USA.

Lapdog to Prescott Bush's Grandson (the current President) Vicente had caused offence when he said Mexicans did jobs in the US "that not even blacks wanted to do". Those jobs include: picking fruit by hand (perhaps cotton), being janitors and garbage personnel in white enclaves, corporations and buildings, being maids to wealthy, bitchy, fuck-toy, trophy wives of the American upper class, and everyday back-breaking labor. But the connotation is that niggaz aren't capable of doing any higher quality, more value-added work -- except breaking a sweat for peanut wages



While the US and people like Rev Jackson said the Mexican president had expressed regret for his "harmful" remarks, Mr Fox explained he was merely defending the work done by Mexican immigrants.

But the Mexicans illegal or not, who do this work -- this work that Blacks were forced to do for no money, work that is considered the bottom of the barrel and therefore contributes to the sting of the word "nigger." See if you have to work the fields and get whipped for slacking off -- just for a hot second -- then you don't EVER want to have to think about stepping foot in an argriculture commodity field, unless you own it, and you damn sure don't want your children or your children's grandchildren even doing.

As for the urban "slaves" American Blacks don't want those jobs, and cavaliery shit on the prospect of cleaning up after white people in their corporate american offices because -- up until the late 1960s, if you were Black and highly intelligent you might not be able to get any job accept for doing janitorial work. Could be well-read, articulate, and incisive with your thoughts and comments, but still be regulated to the menial, shit-eating jobs -- 'cause white America wouldn't let you make a living, a legitimate living, otherwise. The black market of drugs, prosititution and smuglging was always available, but who wants to be caught in that game?

It's no secret that Vicente Fox has NO IDEA about what American Blacks had and have to go through. Even today, the average Black with a graduate degree makes the same kind of money as white dude with just a high school diploma!!! Hmmm! Chew on that one, Mr. Presidente.

Presidente Fox needs to work on why kidnapping is BIG BUSINESS in his country, I think only the state-run oil monopoly generates more cash. If it and drugs weren't cannibalizing his country's GDP then maybe all those illegals wouldn't be wading across the Rio Grande or getting stuffed into a stifling hot van and secreted across the Sonora Desert to get "slave" labor work in the US.

Mr Fox made the comments last week to express frustration with tough new immigration legislation recently approved by the US Senate.

More to the point about Fox's comments is that he's claiming that American Blacks aren't worth doing much else by doing those slave jobs of old! As if niggas can't get respect in any other field except for the chump work that latin illegals get.

I was thinking more and more about the Seal & Heidi Klum marriage, and I can't understand why there has been a spike on the readership of this blog where searches are coming in along the lines of "heidi klum nigger" "heidi klum fucks nigger" and so on.

Well, maybe I can -- no one white wants to hear about a gonzo-chested, stunningly beautiful white woman getting dicked down by a Black man, let alone marrying one and having a child. Especially a white women in Germany, the so-called heartland of racial hatred. I think people are mad, because a Black man gets to see, fondle and suckle Heidi's breasts and nipples every night -- whereas no white man is doing that again.

I can't expect the world NOT to be a racist place when it comes to Blacks -- not all people of color, mind you, just those of African descent. As you'll see where ever you go, western and southern Asians give Africans (either from the continent or those from the diaspora) the muthafuckin' finger when they turn their back. Even when they are darker than many American Blacks!!! Don't go into a 7-11 in Los Angeles that's run by Indians or Afghanis or Pakis or Persians and expect primo service.

Ironically, Persian women craving American Blacks -- you'll have to ask their men, why though. I can't tell you. Maybe it's because there is no bass in the voice of Persians (or anyone outside of American Blacks for that matter) and that deep "bedroom voice" that is an act by most men, is just normal takl for American Blacks is seductive from jump?

So it's not just a skin color thing -- it's a race thing; something that jackass thinkers like Kant and his German 19th century ilk sought to codify to keep Blacks down. I guess they did a damn good job, 'cause niggers are still suffering like you wouldn't believe.

It seems so. As researchers from the Institute of Preventative Medicine in Copenhagen found those women with wider hips also appeared to be protected against certain heart conditions.

Women with a hip measurement smaller than 40 inches, or a size 14 would not have this protection, they said.

I KNOW that Black women, who typically have junk in the trunk, have wide-ass hips. I wonder if this means they will live longer? I don't see too many stats on the life expectancy of Black women; it's usually Black men who aren't expected to live psat their 50s!

The researchers say hip fat contains a beneficial natural anti-inflammatory. They said this anti-inflammatory, called adiponectin, prevents arteries swelling up and becoming blocked.

The hourglass figure has been made famous by women ranging from Marilyn Monroe and Sophia Loren to Kelly Brook and Catherine Zeta Jones (see picture of said hot broad) today.

Previous studies have found both men and women with small hips are at an increased risk of developing diabetes, high blood pressure and gall bladder disease.

However the study, which has been published in Obesity Research, found a wider hip circumference was not linked with better heart health in men.

Professor Berit Heitmann, who led the study, said: "It seems that the protection is not a matter of wide hips, it's the detrimental effect of narrow hips with a lack of muscle fat, or bone or a combination of both.

She added: "Fat on hips is different than fat on the abdomen." Which means all you women who have fatback (when the blubber in the area above your ass that peeks out when you're wearing a shirt that is too small, too tight -- loose that! And it's not sexy either.

Movie Review- CRASH

Had a chance to see this movie twice over the Memorial Day weekend (a holiday in the US where we celebrate our dead soldiers and other war pubah stuff) -- I had a free pass to see it the second time, and the writer/director was speaking afterwards.

This is a movie I didn't think could get made -- well, not made by an African-American filmmaker (Spike Lee tried to do subject matter like this when $$$$$ wasn't the only game in town, and people in the Black Community didn't want to just laugh or what gangsta violence). Incidently there is a fascinating article in the current Brad Pitt issue of GQ outlining problems with interracial fucking in Hollywood product. I bring this up -- as a round about way of getting back to CRASH -- because the first trully offending scene in the movie is when Matt Dillon's character - enraged by a Black women ignoring his pleas - takes out his anger when he sees what he thinks is a white woman give a Black man a dick-suck while driving.

That's still THE NUMBER ONE hot button issue in the Northern hemisphere today -- the Blackman's dick going inside one of the orificies of a non-Black woman.

It's evidence by the traffic coming to this site in response to uber-model Heidi Klum wedding Black soul singer Seal.

CRASH poses difficult questions and reveals a lot about the simmering "fuck you, man!" that is just beneath the surface in Los Angeles, and probably the rest of urban America.

The acting all around was superb - you kind of forget that Matt Dillon was a major actor 10, 15 years ago -- or that Ryan Phillippe could have been an outstanding actor WHO WE SAW A LOT OF, if it wasn't for a few costily missteps; or that Don Cheadle is maybe one of the most versatile actors working in American Cinema; or that Keith David is one of the most under-used talents in a system that cherishes looks over actually ability; or that Larenz Tate has acting chops that haven't been used since MENANCE 2 SOCIETY.

Interestingly, in the expose of the Black woman and the seemingly endemic and unique behavior pattern of constantly challenging their men to act more "manly" when it comes to swallowing horseshit -- whether it's a person of color or not, who is provoking the challenge.

All in all this is a tour de force in acting and storytelling, eschewing the chump-ass Hollywood storytelling techniques that encompass most flims that Hollywood allows to made and/or distributed. See, it's not only a question of what Hollywood will make, but what they will distribute and put their marketing muscle behind.

I don't think I've seen too many commercials for CRASH, but understandably so because how do you really sell a movie that is a collection of stories about race, violence, intolerance and compromising positions? It can be done, considering that the film is making well over $36million (costing only $6, and maybe another $5 to $10 million in adverts).

See this movie, preferably in the theatre, as the movie watching experience is entirely different than watching on video or on an airplane.

Why did NEWSWEEK retract a story about US Soldiers in Gitmo desecrating the Qu'ran? You know it's true, regardless of the denials coming out of the White House and Pentagon!

Think about it, in the military the enlisted personnel is predominantly under-educated - high school diploma or less -- so they're no doubt ignorant of the world outside of the "peace-loving" United States, and honestly believe that American culture gets a bad rap and is the best thing going! So when these jugheads with guns are put into a position of power/authority over people who's mission in life is to bring choas and destruction to the Land of the Free & the Home of the Brave, you can't be surprised or shocked that military personnel is going to behave like despots. And when you throw Islam into the mix, that's a receipe for aggrivated assault.

As these new allegations of GI Joe abuse flood out of Afghanistan, you have to say to yourself: didn't Rumsfeld and the Joint Chief send a memo to the remaining Grunts in the Field: "stop beating the sand niggers' asses!" Did these people fail to get that memo?

If so, how come?!

Remember that Van Halen song from the '80s? It had a pretty racy (for the time) video depicting a hot-ass, big-titted teacher (obviously blonde) seductively staring down some junior high schooler. That twisted wet dream maybe comes true occasionally, and it usually ends with sorridly.

I remember meeting this cat from Spain a couple weeks ago at a party and he was in his late 20s complaining about the corrupt nature of LA women, and that they're not "ready to fuck" until their late 20s or early 30s. He couldn't understand why the situation was different is Europe, where he could easily snag 16 to 19 years old, dick them down and go on about his business. THAT was a little disturbing to me. However, I was reading this book called 100 Strokes Of The Brush Before Bed about this 15 year old Italian who has wild sexual encounters -- many with men in their 30s and above. The Spanish cat was adamantly against America's Statutory Rape laws. I had to walk away for dude after he said that.

What's up with having sex with a girl under 18, there's a lot of fumbling around and coddling in any event, but wouldn't that seem irritating and sure-way to kill a stiff one if you're in your late 20s?

Maybe the ideal of untainted, soft, nubile flesh is what attracts older men to women in their late teens (an age of consent and marriage in Europe and Asia prior to the 20th century), but the lack of body knowledge, immaturity and coping with the emotional see-saw of a young broad is too much to deal with as you get older. What do you have to talk about -- after sex? ah, I forgot you just go to sleep. Or maybe you just stick a dick in her mouth, that'll prevent her from asking too many questions.

Ever seen that dumb-ass movie called "Once Upon A Time In Mexico"? There is this cheap-ass bit of dialoge that Jonny Depp vomits out; he asks Danny Trejo: "Are you a MexiCAN or a MexiCAN'T?"

Well, it looks like Antonio Villaraigosa is a MexiCAN! He kicked Jimmy Hahn the fuck out of office. The first time that's happened to a first term Mayor in LA since the 1970s?!?! And Villaraigosa is the first Latin mayor since the 1870s, two centuries ago!?! Just goes to show you that even though LA is a mostly Hispanic town, they never knew how ot organize themselves to take the political reigns and run shit.

Talk about fucking up, Jimmy! Apparently, the niggas in LA weren't going to get behind Jimmy 'cause he sacked Police Chief Bernard Parks (who is African-American) in favor of William Bratton, the white man who beat the shit out of New York in the 90s (under Guiliani); you know the head of NYPD during the Amadu Dialo shooting and the Abner Luima plunger up the ass trick by white coppers.

Blacks in LA weren't too happy about that [incididently, there have been some pretty fucked up treatment of LA niggas since Bratton came in to power - at least two widely publicized shooting where the cops unleashed well over a 100 bullets on unarmed, under-20 black men], so LA Niggaz stuck it to Jimmy Hahn and dapped up the Mexican. Who might be a good mayor -- but unless he figures a way to deal with the God-awful transportation issues in LA then he's just another hoe-ass the Donkey Party got elected.

Jimmy initially refused to give up the post, thinking that the results could swing his way. He must have been smoking the crack LAPD and the Feds have been piping in the South Central the last two decades.

This marks an interesting turning point for the city that houses the greatest propaganda machine the world has yet seen. But don't expect Hollywood to take notice of the Latins running the politics, they might seek to have those westside communities seperate from LA proper.

I'm surprised that niggas were even considered as a determining factor, 'cause Black people just get taken for granted politically. As they have no true option when it comes to voting. Any Black vote for the Elephant-ass Party is one that signifies "I'm a dumb-fuck who couldn't careless about people, the environment or the future BUT I'm going to claim that I do."

Now all that needs to happen is to have Michael Jackson be found guilty -- not that I think he is, but I want to see how the drama unfolds if that happens.

Wow! The latest on Dave is that he's checked into a sanitarium in South Africa!!! [I wonder why not Switzerland? Is South African known for its pyschiatric knowledge?]

I have to believe the $50mil bill contract that Dave signed has to be a contributing factor to what's going on. No other Black comedian has made that kind of money. Shit, no Black Actor (denzel and will included) has made that kind of money -- essentially $25mil a year, plus the DVD revenues!!!! On three seasons of material!!!

I think white people love Dave a lot cause he says "nigger" quite a bit on his show -- and its one of the few places where 'nigger' can be hurtles at Blacks with no reprecussions or reprisals. Tartantino gave whites a chance to revel in that past practice quite a bit, but he's lost his ability to do it. Feel me on this, and here's why: everytime I get into a conversation about Chappelle's Show with someone white they have to bring up one of the skits that bandies about the word "nigger" and these white people -- all who are friends -- can't help but bring up the one skit called "the Niggars" where the white family in the 1950s has that name. White people love to quote that skit VERBATIM to me, or bring up the one about the blind black man who hates "niggurs." White people do the mock imitation of a black man doing a white cracker's voice (that in itself is funny, because it's so damn ironic!!!).

In all seriousness, Dave is a fantastic comedian become he's able to poke fun at the biggest source of misery in this country -- its race relations. The very best of comedians know that misery offers the most delictible bits of info to mined for comedic gold.


We'll see Dave again, shortly I hope. Apparently, Comedy Central has 4 or 5 episodes worth of material that could be aired as a "special." If they can't get Dave back before next Fall.

Contrary to what the billboards say, Chappelle's Show Season 3 IS NOT starting on May 31st. Apparently production on the show has stoppped production.

As much as people love Dave for all his skits, his penetrating commentary of race relations in the country that still champions the antagonist nature of those relations is what the show will probably most be remembered for. Bits like The Racial Draft, Wu-Tang Financial, that one "When Keepin' It Real Goes Wrong" where Dave is the "good little Negro", the racist Black man and the skit where Dave testifies in all the major "black" court cases signify this man's true genius.

Of course Rick James, the Wayne Brady skit and all of Charlie Murphy's Hollywood Stories will have us laughing til we piss our pants, but Dave probably has high aspirations.

What those are? I guess we'll only know if and when the show comes back on. I don't think it'll come back for a 4th season though. Don't care how much money Comedy Central throws at Dave (unless they redesign his DVD royalty... 'cause Season 1 is the #1 selling DVD for 1st Season's of a TV Show, surpassing The Simpsons (and their first season was wack, tame, badly drawn). I figure Season 2 will make Dave on of the most paid Black men in Showbiz -- but don't expect it to give him any additional power to not have his methods questioned by those who run the business and give him money.

I wonder if the dispute in the production is over that? That Comedy Central wanted to foist their "approved" writers onto the show against Dave's wishes. Dave is only successful now, and he's been in Showbiz for at least ten years, struggling his ass off. So with no long track record of being successful, his more experimental (i.e. funnier) choices are no doubt being shit on by the Brass. A lot of times only Black people "get" a certain amount of Black humor; that trenchant biting stuff that comes from generations of living with a foot on your neck and a knife at your back.

Makes me wonder if The Boondocks show is ever going to air with the bite that the comic strip has -- maybe if it was on al-Jazeera, but no US TV network (cable or broadcast) would allow the skewering of the majority (race, society, government, class) that McGruder executes so well in the paper on humanity's greatest persuading communication device.

You know the FCC will crack down on Comedy Central and Dave will half million dollar fines for nebulous profanity use and indescent images/sounds. Who are the people establishing those guidelines?

German supermodel Heidi Klum and British-born singer Seal have married in Mexico -- obviously a marriage in Germany might provoke some skinhead response.

This is the second high profile/celebrity Black man marrying a white woman in the last year. Curious to note that just like Tiger Woods, the white woman in question is a European.

Why is that of importance? Stunningly beautiful white women WILL flaunt their relationships with Black men in Europe, more so than in the States.

I wonder if that would be career suicide in America? Say if Lindsay Lohan was fucking someone like Pharrell - publically, 'cause they might have done it behind closed doors. I mean career suicide for BOTH!

This was sent to me, I find it hilarious, but hopfully not true.

Unfortunately, the word on the street (which has been confirmed by a probation officer) is that the 60's stole 160 kilo's of cocaine from the Mexican Mafia. In retaliation, the Mexican Mafia and other Mexican gangs have decided to target and kill 400-1000 black men of all ages who are wearing white t-shirts. This is not limited to the freeways..... I understand that this is very real and very serious. Please pass this on to EVERYONE that you know. I suggest you do not wear any white shirts at all if possible. Also, if you have on a dress shirt, consider wearing your jacket over it....

I was the BIGGEST champion to end this robot, slavish, no-style-having craze/fad/phase of urban street gear! The white longboy T-shirt is perhaps the laughable uniform worn in the streets since i don't know when! Hip-hop clothing styles went 180, back in the late 80s it was vibrant color epitomized by Cross-Colors, the 90s and early 21st Century gave way to a blank, soulless, bleached whiter-than-white T-Shirt (usually not even 100% cotton) - not marking, no logos (which is good), not silk screening - nothing.

And now is it really going to be "open season" on these fools who sport this? (I see that white dudebros weren't so into sporting this cheap form of the urban rag)

As Elmer Fudd said, "It's duck season, no wabbit season!" Either way, niggas need to stop wearing this uniform and get their hands out of the air with the other cunts, and rehumanize their street stylistics.

The Roots Crew Give A Free Concert

Yeah -- just the other day at UCLA, the heart of paid, paid, paid kids from California. Not everyone who goes to that school is paid, but a high percentage is and they were the ones filling up the quad for the concert.

Not exactly the die-hard or even extra enthusiastic crowd -- hardly any Black people in the crowd, too.

The show was amazing. I had never seen The Roots in concert before, and damn! Do they put on a high powered show! They are all truly musically gifted, talented and know how to express their ideas with great ease.

I was particularly impressed by the medley of 70s and 80s music (they did a hella dope rendition of Jacko's Smooth Criminal) that they worked in near the end of their set. But the so-called crowd only "got down" when white boy anthems were played(i.e. a Nirvana song and a Metallica cut, I think). This I know irked the fuck out of The Roots, as they refused to give an encore.

Yeah, they did not drop one song or even hint at returning to the stage. When was the last time you saw? Probably never. I mean chump-ass, no-name bar bands do an encore. I chalked it up to their displeasure at the crowd.

I bet The Roots figured: it's a college, they'll be down as fuck for our music and what we represent. Yet, it was an odd example of how these white people who think they are hip act to a more-than-hip African American music experience.

Sure there are those whites, Asians, and Latinos who are definitely down, but not a crowd of over 500 at a bastion a faux-liberalism, uber-rich joint like UCLA. True, it is a public school in the uneven California secondary education system, but the cost to go to that school - just to live in LA as a student must be fucking draining on the wallet.

So when these guys are doing something to save cats some money, the WRONG group of students show up.

The Pontiff Rises Again - with a new face & name

So the Vacitican has selected its latest leader - Cardinal Ratzinger, henceforth named Benedict the 16th; who is 78, so I don't think we'll be seeing him at St. Peters for more than 5 years.

Funny thing about the selection of the new pontiff; it reminds me of the "new" incarnations of "The Doctor" in that BBC drama Dr. Who, how each time the series gets renewed their is a new actor playing The Doctor (the show just came back in the UK, with a NEW guy playng the much-loved Time Lord).

Cardinal Ratzinger, er I mean Beeny XVI, has been head of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith - formerly known as the Holy Office of the Inquisition - since 1981. Office of the Inquisition, yeah the needed to change that name alright. But the fact that it was still around well into the 20th Century is the main reason why Catholicsm and its insitutions are problemic to me.

Benny XVI, when part of the HOI, was stridently against liberation theology, which had gained ground among priests in Latin America and elsewhere as a means of involving the Church in social activism and human rights issues.

He has described homosexuality as a "tendency" towards an "intrinsic moral evil". During the US election campaign, he called for pro-choice politicians to be denied Communion.

Benny XVI praises the media, 'cause he knows he's got to (ab)use it to further his agenda and not be labled a crackpot. Truth be told though, any strict adherence to a religion that originated in the so-called Holy Land makes you a crack pot in my book.

Have you heard of the organization called Don't Count Us Out? No? That's too bad. You should, just so you can understand how minorities are still used as pawns to get more money for the upper .01%!!!!

Don't Count Us Out (DCUO) describes itself in all of its press releases as a group of grassroots, labor and media industry representatives raising public awareness about the under-counting of minority consumers by Nielsen and its Local People Meters (LPM) system.

Don't Count Us Out is actually a front for News Corp. It seems that the Fox Channels (cable & broadcast, I wager) have been getting lower ratings now that Nielsen (that questionable TV Viewer Ratings company) quit using the paper ballots to determine who is watching what on TV and at what times.

The LPM system is supposedly more accurate, but it smacks of something out of an Orwell novel in the first place.

The outrageous thing about DCUO is that it's supposed to fight for the underpaid, the underprivillaged, the underrepresented -- i.e. Niggas and Wetbacks, whoever do we SEE any additional programing aimed at the two largest minorities in this country? Demographics that actually watch too much fucking TV?!?!

No, we don't.

Yet, News Corp., through its puppet organization wants to include those people in their cut-throat fight for more and more ratings where loud-mouthed pundits like Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity can continue to spew bile across the public airways and champion evangellical religious views and morals.

DCUO reminds me of the shit-ass tactics that the CIA and the DoD used throughout the Cold War to forward the nasty "Consumer Over All Else" agenda that the US wanted to inculcate in the rest of the Western Hemisphere and Southeast Asia.

The Occidental Companies that run the countries never get tired of ass-fucking whoever, however, whenever to grab more marketshare and more cash.

So the Cavs failed to make the playoff, and I'm so entirely sure the northeast Ohio phenon LeBron James is MAD AS FUCKING HELL.

If I'm him, I'm demanding a trade and getting the fuck out of Cleveland. Many of you would be saying, "oh, they'll be better next year."

Uh... no they won't. Cleveland, as a city, disrespects black people like none other. And Cleveland, as a sports franchise, are perennial fuck-ups. They have NO tradition of winning in football, baseball or basketball. Sure, sure they won the World series about 60 years ago, and they won a few AFL football championships -- but that was all before African-American stars were on those teams and could make a difference.

As it currently is, as has always been since I've been around, Cleveland sports team would much rather see their black athletes do bad -- off the field -- than watch the team excel. Check your history, it's all there in the cheap fishwrap called The Cleveland Plain Dealer; over the years Cleveland has failed (either intentionally or accidentally) to celebrate its favorite sons who are African-American. Shit, one of the Levert brothers is about to go to jail for battling a cop (although he's on the hook for that one, 'cause he said to a questioning cop "do you know who I am?" Which opens the floodgates for cops and other low-paid white functionaries to tear down a successful Black man in this country).

Cleveland REFUSES to put up the money to acquire two star players that would lift any of the teams (Browns, Indians, Cavs) to playoff contention.

When the Cavs new owners fired Paul Silas in the middle of the season, they obivously didn't have a plan on how the rest of the season was going to work out, and they sure as shit didn't

Hip-Hip -- The Dirty South is Champ?

Funny thing I noticed in the NYTimes today... an article on hip-hop from Houston. The article shined the spotlight on Mike Jones, who's coming out with a new WB-financed album later this summer.

Music from the South has been hella popular the past half-decade, but I think it gets short shrift in NYC and the City of the Angels.

And Houston is a bombastic music mecca boasting the South-by-Southwest Music Festival in March of every year; where fucking fabulous acts blow up the spot, ripping the speakers on the stage.

So it's no real surprise that Houston music, particularly its hip-hop, is getting pub -- now in the New York Times.

I remember a few years ago I heard something about Houston-based hip-hop (which hasn't really been blowin' up the national scene since the Geto Boys did so in the late 80s and early 90s when Scarface and Bushwick Bill were spittin' lyrics) about what was called "screw music", essentially beat tracks slowed down. The purveyor of this style of music (available on that old, favorite staple - the mixtape) was this cat name DJ Screw, who got drunk off of some weird cough syrup concoction -- the Flying Homer in real life! Life imitating art, or art imitating life? -- but the NPR story mentioned that DJ Screw had passed away.

The most recent Pontiff has bid us all farewell and ado... in my earlier days, I would have said "good ridance!" Now, I have to sit back with my arms crossed and contemplate -- what's next and does the world care?

Europe is no longer the craddle of Catholicism, and the USA never embraced the stringent form of Christianity -- but in the Third World!?!?! Shit, that's were ALL the Catholics are kicking it now. Central & South America and Africa are chock full of Papists. So my questions, does the world care has multiple contexts.

There has been some speculation for the past couple of years that when Pope John Paul II did shrug of his mortal coil that the next pope would be selected from the Third World... most likely South America (as the World would NEVER stand for an African pope -- even those whites who aren't Catholic would vomit, and the "presitge" of Catholicism would be shit on and rubbed in the dirt -- at least in their minds.

In this fascinating book I just started reading called Guns, Germs and Steel, the author proffers the fact that Catholicism has ravaged what is now the 3rd World ever since it was introduced there. So it wouldn't be that bad if the Church was controlled by the descendants of the heathens it strove so hard to eridacate, then convert (in that order!!!).

What's is trully going to be interesting is all the media scrutiny the selection of the next Pontiff is going to bring. I heard on NPR that The Vacitican was going to sweep all the debate chambers for bugs and other kind of surveillance devices. We also get to see a lot of the inner workings of the oldest organization on the Earth. Just look at the ceremony/ritual going on now -- there is going to a Nine-Day mourning period. And then some portion of the that, the body of John Paul II is going to be on display for all sorts of daws to peck at. Then the heady speculation on who is the new Pontiff going to be...

The next few months will have an interesting impact on the globe... so, you can see why I'm sitting back with my arms crossed, observing.

You Must Acquit!!!

My main man who sticks it to The Man has passed away, apparently from an inoperable brain tumor... but whatever the case maybe Johnnie Cochran moved on to whatever the Lord has in store for him.

A couple years ago I reach Cochran's memoir A Lawyer's Life, and it was utterly fascinating. He is a nationally (actually internationally) known figure mainly because of the Orenthal James Simpson Double Mruder Trial, a media-frenzied trial that caused widespread outrage among white Americans after Mr Simpson walked free.

Cochran was accused of playing the "race card" to a largely black jury after suggesting that police had planted evidence in an attempt to frame Mr Simpson because he was a black superstar. Is this true? Well, the one thing we DO know about America is that is has never solved its race problem, particuarly its Nigga Problem.

In his memoir, Cochran steadfastly claimed it was an insult to all African-Americans to think he could convince black jurors to acquit a man they believed to be guilty of two murders just because he was black -- and that the victims were white. It's kind of funny whenever African-Americans are in court in the country, because the whole system is acutely foreign to African-American sensibilities and culture; and niggas typically GO OUT FUCKING BAD when in front of a judge. However, Cochran was one of the few African-Americans who knew how to work the System to a T (I can't remember was his win percentage was, but I believe it was over 80%).


In the wake of the trial, Cochran frequently appeared on television chat shows, got his own court TV series and was parodied in films and hugely popular television shows such as Seinfeld and South Park.

But he also handled some MAJOR, MAJOR cases - particularly winning the largest police brutality lawsuit in the history of nigga-hating NYC. He also cleared Sean "Puffy Daddy" Combs from trumped up gun charges where a white district attorney was looking to "make a name for himself" at the expense of true justice; and that myopia bit that DA in the ass. It was under Cochran's counsel that Combs was advised to tone done his high profile image; thus Puffy Daddy became P.Diddy. Cochran had stated after OJ he didn't want to ever handle a criminal case again (opting to take on cases thta affected broad civil rights issues insteadd), yet Cochran knew that the NYC DA was out to broomstick another high-profile Black man, 'cause that's how this country behaves.

Cochran was no saint though -- an he wasn't expected to be, as he was secretive about his private life [who wouldn't be in cannibalistic media-mad culture that we live in?), but startling details were exposed to the public gaze after his divorce in 1978 from his college sweetheart, the mother of his two daughters.

It emerged that for 10 years he had had a second family, fathering a son with his mistress, who later sued him in a case that was finally settled out of court.

A lot of people thought that Cochran - being a Black LA Defense Attorney -- was extremely anti-police, yet Cochran supported his son's decision to join the California Highway Patrol, despite his frequent battles with police departments in court.

Cochran said, but more importatnly knew that many poor (and not so poor) black people feared the police more than they feared criminals. "People in New York and Los Angeles, especially mothers in the African-American community, are more afraid of the police injuring or killing their children than they are of muggers on the corner," he said. In LA, it's a known fact that LAPD was and continues to be "at war" with the Black community. Remember the details of the Rampart Scandal? Where cops received "play" medals of honor for shooting and/or killing niggas?!? In his office he displayed copies of the multi-million dollar cheques he had won for people who said they were abused by police.

And while his greatest fame came from representing celebrities, he said the clients he cared most about were ordinary citizens.

After the Simpson case, Cochran concentrated more on civil cases, but remained an admired figure in the black community for his quest for justice and his philanthropy, which included helping to fund a university scholarship and a low-income housing complex.

T.R.O.N. - I thought that was an '80s Movie!?!

No. it means The Realest Of Niggas! Can you believe that? But more to the point, what does it mean to be a "real" nigga? Who's sitting around with a guidebook/criteria pamphlet determining who's real and who's fake?

That term -- "fake-ass nigga" -- which is so pervasive in hip-pop [see I can't call it hip-hop anymore, because I don't really see the difference between Brittany Spears and Missy Elliot]. As if being a "hip-hop head" gives you the authority to question someone elses sense of individuality.

Being a "real nigga" perhaps means sacrificing singular individual expression for the crass genuflecting to the mass media aspects of hip-hop. There's a great song by The Police called "Rehumanize Yourself" (off the Ghost In The Machine record) with a lyric that says "he's got his hand in the air with the other cunts... rehumanize yourself." In the context of the song, Sting is referencing blind allegiance to a particular mind-state and/or dogma, and then condemning it as the most egregious things a person can do. But hip-hop tacitly asks it's hard-core listeners (which is pretty much everyone these days) to do exactly that. Obviously the bulk consumer - whites - can't be "no real niggas" - despite the fact they really want to some times - so they overtly or covertly maintain a constant seperate identity, even though they might be rockin' the latest Common in a tricked out H2 Hummer (like this white boy I saw in Beverly Hills today).

And then there's this question, is a "LA {Real} Nigga" any more or less a "real nigga" compared to an "New York {Real} Nigga"?

On the previous blog I addressed the reversal of polarity that Blacks are trying to get give the word 'nigga.' I strikes me odd how now a "nigga" isn't just an African-American (for other African-Americans), but a "nigga" is a specific type of Crystal-swigging, gold fronts-having Black. It all kind of goes back to the "Shade Wars" that I touched upon in THE NIGGER FACTOR (but never, never enough), the inherent self-loathing that Blacks have [one of those FUCKED traits of the so-called black community] -- sadly branded upon us.

What are the three "I"s? And why are they being written about on this blog?

They are:
Ignorance
Illiterate
Inept

These are systemic psycho-social traits that afflict African-Americans to a high degree, and ultimately contanimate their ability to succeed in 21st Century America.

IGNORANCE -- the fundamental lack of knowledge, education, common sense, wisdom... does that capture what Black People are about? Sadly it does. And WHY? Muthafucka, why? Did you read the cover article of the March 13th issue of The Economist? It's about the digital divide, and it has an African boy using a stone as a makeshift phone! Ignorance has a lot to do with technology transfers; or the lack there of.

INEPT - the lack of ability to successfully complete a task. Unless it's putting a ball in a basket or bootleg consume goods or selling drugs to other low-rent muthafuckas, niggas are poor, poor, poor capitalists. Which means niggas neighborhoods, or as trenchant author James Ellroy put it, Dark Towns around the country continue to stay marginally better than 3rd World conditions with better stocked consume goods at local stores.

Where the Three I's smack niggas the most is in their pop culture. I'm looking at this junk-ass so-called Black Men's magazine called King, and man do I have to say WHAT THE FUCK? This self-styled "hip" jumble of 4-color glossy fishwrap continues to tout ideas and behaviors that Black Men "should be following" that no doubt results in a check-to-check financial existance with brutal behavior toward the "bitches."

That terms "bitches" -- the most ubiquitous sobriquet for Black women (and reference to women in general from Black men) around. Why not call them "nigga bitches"? That seems most appropriate, because if I'm degrading a women by calling her a bitch, then I might as go all the way and degrade her race as well as gender. Don't you think?

It's quite understandable that American Blacks disdain this combination -- historically it could result in what Billie Holliday called "Strange Fruit" and other types of egregious assaults on Black men.

Because this sexual combination was denied so much, it still generates the most scorn.

Black women are very vociferious about this, claiming that "these White heifers are stealing our men" - with the subtext that Black babies are "being destroyed" in favor of mixed children. And that qualityBlack men -- which are so hard to find -- are opting to erode the struggling Black community by marrying outside their race.

Strangely no other racial mixing carries the same stigmatic weight -- at least not in the United States of America (that corporate puppet country).

In the above referenced photo, we see Tiger Woods (who many a Black would argue that he's "not Black", in that he's not culturally African-American) and his Swedish wife Elin -- by any accounts that woman is pretty, and Tiger is just flexing what his money can buy. Does that sound harsh? Not if you really think about it.

Women want powerful, wealthy men -- that they can relate to. Elin was the nanny for some other big-name golfer's kids, who just so happened to be friends with Tiger Woods. So they were already running in the same circles. His success makes him able to claim just about any girl he wants, also long as she ain't a presumptuous bitch.

Is this a more media-exposed trend? I don't know, but it shouldn't even raise eyebrows -- except for the fact that the US is country that fucked and continues to fuck niggas at each and every opportunity.

Trial Of The Decade (Part IV of A Series)

As the sad, but hilarious Michael Jacko child-fucking trial continues, it seem sthat Jay Leno has been slapped with a gag order (as he's been listed as a witness in the trial) that prevents him from telling jokes about Jacko.

To circumvent the absurdity of the circus, Leno brought in "Everybody Loves Raymond" star Brad Garrett to read the inane cracks Leno wrote. He's an example of Leno's tawdry humor - "Today, Michael Jackson's lawyer said that he will not play the race card - mainly because he can't figure out what race Michael is."

How many other celebrities are going to be called to the stand to air the down-n-dirty about the Gloved One? There has to be some people who have helped secure butt-boys for Jacko, but where are they?

Don't Know What Fun Is Anymore

There was an article in the February 23rd edition of the NYTimes about the collapse of speciality toy stores, you know places like Toys 'R Us and F.A.O. Schwartz and Kay-Bee. The article mainly hits on the fact that low-cost outlets like Wal-Mart and Target are beating down the toys-only stores. That maybe true, but I tend to think that kids today don't give a fuck about toys the same way as kids did say 15 years ago.

Video games are the predominant form of entertainment for kids under the age of 30. For the under 12 set, that's the main for of "having fun;" sitting in front of a TV screen maniupaling a hand-control, watching images that have been loving cobbled together with polygons and painted in Photoshop by 30-year olds (who grew up on Fisher-Price and LEGO and Playmobile).

Do children today even really know what it means to have fun? Are they bombarded by TV and Internet images to such an extreme that they are being told what "fun" is, as opposed to finding out what fun is on their own? "Fun" that is dictated to you is a style of enjoyment that is rife with subliminal messages of what is hip, what is cool, what is geeky, what is lame, what is awesome, what is wack, what is chump.

As the giant Toy stores that were once a staple of the youth experience of America dwindle away, and the "direct" buying of toys at Wal-Mart and Target become the methodology of finding toys. I say buying, not shopping because shopping denotes the act of going to a retailer and browsing; nothing in particular is part of the task. Didn't you ever go to the toy store looking to get the latest LEGO set, but stumbled across at boardgame like Stratego or Operation? And then begged and pleaded with your mom to that game instead of the LEGO? Or kicked and screamed on the floor because the Hot Wheels car that you wanted was sold out, only to have your father assuage the whole situation by purchasing the latest Mego Captain American Action Figure? During the whole ride home as you salt-water tears dried on the side of your face, you envisioned thousands and thousands of new scenarios where Batman escaped the clutches of a Decepticon? Sure those two toys weren't in the same pantheon, but you didn't give a fuck back then, you just wanted to have some "fun," goddamn it!

Alas, Xbox and PS2 (soon to be PS3) rule the day -- that elusive element of all fun - IMAGINATION -- simplity disappears; replaced by more and more heightened simulation.

Is that when thought-control starts to get secreted into the binary code?

There is no new boyfriend. I stopped playing with boys when I stopped dating black guys. I have a new man in my life and yes, he's white.

So you prefer to date white men instead of black guys?
Let's be real. If you are a successful black female you only have two choices.... date outside of your race or date other successful black females.

Are you saying there are no successful black men to date?
Of course not but lets face it, if Oprah would date outside of her race she would be married with children now. The state of most black men is so low the only thing you can do is love them. Like a poor homeless dog. You can't expect it to protect you. You can only offer shelter and love and watch as our neighbor's pitbull protects his home and family. I, unlike Oprah, am not forced to stay within those boundaries. I was born into a new generation of black women.

So Oprah is being forced to date Stedman?
All I can say is when you find a successful black women who is not married and does not have children it is because they refuse to accept the two choices. Some may go as far as marriage to a black guy but they realize divorce is inevitable so they do not have children. Or they have children with one and don't marry in order to preserve their wealth and good credit. Oprah is one of many who silently protests being stuck with such poor choices by refusing to marry and reproduce but you can see how much it hurts her. She's always giving away money to children's charities. I hope she makes the choice to marry a non-black soon so she can have a child of her own.

But you have decided to accept the two choices?
Yes. I grew up in California around the two extremes of wealth. If I could only get myself to try the bisexual thing I would have been much happier in my relationships. Instead I dated black men. I loved many of them but they were just not suitable for marriage. Many of them were raised by women and had warped mentalities. So I finally had to date outside my race. When I moved to Miami, I accepted my status and dated men on my level.

What do you mean by warped mentalities?
Well, where do I begin? Many of them were raised predominantly by women and had this feminine/bisexual complex. Where they wanted to be treated like a female sometimes. For example, I would have the money & they would have the sex. I would teach them things. You know, all the things a woman likes a man to do, I would end up doing for them. Then if we would get into an argument, there would be a role reversal. All of a sudden, they would be the man wanting the respect of a king in his castle. Black men over the years have become less and less of value to black women both rich and poor. I predict in 10 years they will be obsolete. Now they serve little to no function and what little they can do, they don't want to do.

Why 10 years?
That's when going to a fertility clinic to get impregnated by a sperm donor will become as common and accessible as the flu shot. Women who want sex will do it with whoever they want (girl, guy, rich, poor, white, black) and go to the bank (the sperm bank) when they are ready to have children. Even those who waited (like Oprah) will have fertilized eggs placed in Vitro. That's the day the secret organization of women is waiting for. The day when men are 100% dis-empowered.

Are you apart of that organization?
No. They're a mostly white group. Plus that day for black men is practically here already. Black women are already raising 75% of the black population without a man. When fertility clinics become more affordable Black women will be standing in line. It will be just like plastic surgery. Everyone laughed at Michael Jackson but its becoming so popular now, that even poor blacks are getting work done...mostly breast reductions and liposuction.

So do you want men to be dis-empowered?
Heck, no! That's why I am with a white man now. I want a man to be a man and I am not going to settle for less just to stay within racial boundaries. A Black man in my position wouldn't do it so why should I. Don't get me wrong, I love black men. My father is black, I have dated black men all my life, and if I have a male child he will be part black. But my husband and I will raise him together so hopefully he will be a worthy choice for a worthy black female. Not the only choice, or "there's nothing better out there so I'll settle for this" choice. When you are successful you want the best. The best food, clothes, places to live etc. I want the best man also.

And you think the best man is a non-black man?
I think if there's a better choice for me, God would have shown me. I am in the public so I get to meet lots of people from all over the world... athletes, celebs etc. I am wealthy so I am invited and have traveled to the most prestigious events all over the world. Out of all those people, places and events.... I had to choose the right man for me. Like it or not (with very few exceptions) a white man is the only real choice for a successful black female.

Serena Williams… well let’s take a look at how she fails to analyze her situation correctly. Serena and her sister Venus grew up in the 80s in Southern California, specifically the L.A. megalopolis. As someone who moved to SoCal in my mid 20s, I can honestly say that the African-Americans who are raised out here are the most blighted of any Blacks in the entire United States.

Why? Several reasons. The mid to late 80s LA Black culture was VICTIMZED by rampant crack use, the nationally televised gang violence between the Crips and the Bloods, and the complete downsizing of manufacturing jobs from the LA basin – all under the extremely rich and glamorized glare of Hollywood and the record industry (as it moved its focal point from NY to LA).

What this did to the fragile Black community? It’s caused damn-near irreparable harm! The “boys” Serena and Venus grew up with are now the men who popularized the long, baggy white T-Shirt look that has taken the “pop” culture stylists of the urban world by storm (the complete antithesis of the stylized Cross-Colors era of the previous generation that originated in the East Coast and South). These self-same boys grew up to men whom popularized “gangsta rap” – the bane of African-Americans across the world. Why the bane? Because it promotes a culture aesthetic of championing poverty, glorifying violence, denigrating women AND this gangsta-gangsta culture also happens to be the most immediate example to which the mainstream media turns to for its litmus test for what is considered “Black” and then this idea of “Blackness” is broadcast ALL ACROSS THE GLOBE via TV, Films, Music Videos, Music, Magazines and the Internet – the vilification of Black men. What’s real funny is that White people in LA will TELL you what it means to be Black, but the only Blacks they know (by arms length knowledge) are niggas from Compton, Gardena, Hawthorne or other scandalous regions of South Central L.A., that they may have met at a party while sharing a blunt.

No person – Black or White or Latin or Asian – that I’ve met in the LA area would be considered “normal” by the rest of the country. The youth culture of LA is the most scabrous and demoralizing – ignorance to everything beyond the San Bernardino Valley is relished – and therefore the culture lowers the behavior standards of all the ilk it churns out.

The thing that confounds me the most is that Serena doesn’t see that the job of the Anti-Nigger Machine is to castrate Black men. Does she even address this? No! Because SoCal Blacks aren’t even hip to the ANM. That's because racism is most tricky out here, and the entire West Coast/Left Coast vibe is racism doesn’t exist (or at least the same way).

To her credit, Serena kept her nose to the grindstone to become a world-class athlete. This kind of dedication/discipline does not contain in it a regular social scene presence. Her pops, much like Joe Jackson, wasn’t about to lose his meal ticket letting his kids out in those fucked up streets to get pregnant by some kid with a degree in ‘keepin’ it real, or addicted to crack. Therefore, how can she possess an understanding of the hairy, crooked hand of the ANM? The ANM is most notorious at jailing us at an alarming rate – destroying the societal quality traits that are expected of men. When you are a convicted felon, you fall between the cracks – no proper education, no job, no ability to vote, and the ex-con has been around animalist men for far too long; jammed into an environment (the jailhouse) that rips the innards out of normal male-female relationships.

Secondly, Black women are RARELY portrayed positively in the media – and I don’t give a fuck what anybody says the media (TV, film and lamentably music videos) affect our behavior in ways that most of us can’t and don’t comprehend. Whenever I see a “playa-playa” nigga in a music video at night club with a wad of $100s, that he’s fanning as he buys his favorite brand of sizzurp for his crew, or shakes it in the face of the ubiquitous music video hoochie (known to be after $$$$ only), I say to myself “where did this image become something to be hyped? Why are we proud to support this kind of music? (Does the smart man who works for his money reveal it to perhaps packs of hostile hating schemers in the dark club?) Not without his 9, riiiiiight.

The ANM will win as it operates on that kind of subversive level in destroying the Black family relationship by driving the males insane, placing burdens on them that aren’t immediately grasped. For example, the average Black man with a college degree earns equal to or less than the average white man with a high school diploma; the corollary amongst Black-White women isn’t so disparate. How familiar is this: “Man, I can’t afford her” Oh, she doesn’t know that you are trying to walk with no feet to be a good husband and father. She pushes you away… then hates on you for dating a White woman? Don’t blame the Black women… blame the imagry that constantly teaches her what is “right”. Rapper Lil Kim often speaks of “If you don’t have *** then don’t even try talking to me.” What does that do? It makes us want to get those things. By hook or by crook. I guess we can’t point a finger at Lil Kim either because she has been so hypnotized into thinking that White women are the ONLY symbol of beauty to the point that she has reinvented her entire physical appearance. Lighter skin, bigger boobs, facial and body recontouring. Baby, you were beautiful from day one. Nas talks about it on his last two albums. Too bad people aren’t feeling Nas as much as the rapper who talks about killing random Black people, selling crack, and teaching Black women that they should have a complex about their grade of hair and skin tone.

…then you have the fact that Black men are being embraced by white women, Asian women and Latinas more and more – and the friction that arises from the expectations//history of Black men and women are never confronted, so a certain level of resentment grows and grows. Don’t act like you don’t know what happens when a pack of Black women see a Black man happy on a date with a White woman? The ‘head shaking’ that is going on should be refocused to what factors drive Black men away.

The media, particularly the print media, has done a great injustice to Black male/female relations – just look at any magazine ranging from KING and the SOURCE to VANITY FAIR and GQ. Notice the couplings of Black women with successful White men.

I know that I cannot get involved with a woman who has spent more than 3 years in Southern California, let alone grew up here – their sensibilities are warped, twisted and vomited back up in ways that best examined by the bizarre behavior you see from celebrities.

Also, being a Black female celebrity… you’re not rejoiced the same way as your white female counterparts, you’re still dehumanized by the trend-setters of youth culture (rap music, poor TV shows and offensive cinema). Beyonce` is ten times better than Brittany. For starters, she can really sing. She does not need anyone to teach her how to dance. She is a budding actor. She writes her own music, but yet she does not share the same spotlight? (no disrespect to Kim and Kelly)

Of course I’m speaking in gross generalities, but so is Serena. If she really said those things, you can’t blame her. You can only know for yourself, that she has learned from her experiences, and come up with an honest opinion. In Cali, as a Black man, if you aren’t a thug… you gets no love from the perponderance of Black women. It’s kinda funny cause I see Black cats going to great lengths to wear the thug ‘costume’ just to mack on Black women. These women can see it a mile away after they test you. You’ll fail if you’re not real. Even White chicks front on you, saying “Oh we have to get you some tatts, you’d look cute with one on your neck.” Or when they first meet you - “What size rims are on your truck?”

We, as Black men, have no idea how close we are to being obsolete. Why do you think no record companies are looking for the next Public Enemy? The next KRS-ONE? The next LL Cool J? Because those artists promote thought. We as the hip hop generation have more money and power to buy into what MTV is selling. Why not put it into independent labels to bring the record companies more “I hate my baby mama” songs? Every time KRS mentioned a book in one of his rhymes, I bought that book. I thought “If I can know what the teacher is talking about, I can teach my little brother.” Public Enemy tried to tell us not to enlist in the armed forces. Chuck tried to tell us to take an interest in politics. He tried to tell us to vote, and know whom we are voting for. Did we listen? Why do we hate reading so much? Well we sure made Malt Liquor divisions of Beer companies rich. We happily let Corporate America make drug dealer rappers our new heros. With lyrics like “All I did was sell crack to the kids in my hood and didn’t get caught, you can too.” The crack dealer: OK, so you have some nice sneaks, a fat whip and a frozen wrist, but what happens when the crack kid generation starts looking for jobs? Are they no concern of yours? It's already coming to fruition -- read between the lines in regards to the shifting downward of educational standards. Kids today are biologically different because their parents's genes and DNA have been altered by the mind-blowing controlled substances that flooded into the mouths and arms of kids in the late 70s and early 80s. Hate to see what this country is like in 10 years -- yeah, people have been saying that for ever. BUT look at the society 10 years ago, look at it 20 years ago... think, think and think again - all the wealth continues to consolidate OUT OF THE HANDS OF BLACKS. True we migth have more INCOME, but inflation of disposable products -- the kind niggas love to buy -- is increasing at a higher rate of inflation. Hmm.. why is that?

The greatest cultures in the world HELP ONE ANOTHER. THEY GIVE BACK. We destroy our own with a “Nigga, you better get yours, 'cause I’m getting mine and ain’t sharing with you!!” Crabs In The Barrel system of knowledge. That is the way we’ve always been. Slave masters knew it: Take away the mind and empower their bodies. Why do you think WE are the example of a chest-puffed out, tough guy with gold on to show how bad we are? How bad we are?

Do you know what it means if a nigga walks in the club in a HUGE chain? It means he is yelling out loud: Take my shit if you’re badder than me!” Then he’s the guy smoking blunts in the club, waving hundreds in the air. He’s safe, because his boys each have two guns on them and can’t wait to shoot somebody BECAUSE THEN, they can rap about it in a song and have REAL STREET CREDIBILITY!!! And that is what we all crave. To be cool. To be respected. To be feared.

My Dad got his ass the FUCK out of the projects to give his kids a better chance at life. He probably didn’ t know the difficulty we would have when we’d interact with other Black kids of lesser means. That’s the funniest thing in the world to me. “You’re not real” is what I hear because I didn’t grow up on the corner. First of all, fuck face! It’s not my choosing where I grew up. And if I could choose… do you really think I’d grow up poor with one parent, without role models, without proper education, diet, medical resources, and an open mind to other cultures?

Yeah, I’m so not real. Fuck you for not accepting me. And letting the ANM tell you what's real and what's "real."

Drug-resistant HIV strain found
Who DID NOT hear about this? Apparently some car-bomb assassination in Lebanon is more important, or is at least garnering more media attention (on NPR, the story has ran about 6x today).

So here's the 411:
Health officials in New York say they have found a new strain of highly drug-resistant HIV in a city resident.

The resident, a man in his mid-40s, is thought to have developed AIDS much faster than usual after infection.

The strain - known as 3-DCR HIV - has not been detected anywhere else in the world and is "difficult or impossible to treat", according to health experts. The discovery prompted renewed warnings from city health officials for people to practise safe sex.

New York health workers are now hunting other possible cases of the strain. Experts say drug resistance is increasingly common among people with HIV, but not when accompanied by such a quick progression to Aids.

'Wake-up call'
Officials said he [the victim] frequently used the drug crystal methamphetamine, a stimulant taken to reduce sexual inhibitions. The man - who has not been named - is thought have been infected quite recently, and developed AIDS between two and 20 months after infection. Progression to AIDS usually takes about 10 years.

The strain was found to be resistant to three out of the four commonest anti-retroviral drugs. Ronald Valdiserri, director of the HIV/Aids programme at the US Centers for Disease Control, no similar case had been found anywhere in the world.

"What's unique about this is the combination of multiple drug resistance and a rapid course," he told the New York Times newspaper. "To folks in the public health community, that is a particularly dangerous combination."

However, some AIDS specialists outside New York have cast doubt on the alarm, saying that the man's immune system may already have been compromised, the newspaper said.

Now, my only question is what races are going to avoid this new strain? Or more importantly, when is this strain going to dicksmack Africa? The Occidental Powers need to find new energy resources and African seems to be the best place to exploit (again).

So the "drugs is bad" poster child is being subponea'd in the Michael Jackson case. Apparently, Corey spent some time at Neverland Ranch when he was a kid and the prosecutors want to grill this cat to find out what he knows.

It was stated the Corey saw a book on venerial diseases at MJ's house that have pictures of male and female genitalia... in a book on VDs? Surprise?! Surprise! Surprise!

Is Feldman going to break the Code Celebre and rat out his fellow celebrity? I would LOVE to see that happen! Because then all the HOLLYWOOD DIRT might finally start to come out! Like who likes to get shit on during sex? Who's been gang-raped for a part? What male stars are into S&M, all that juicy shit that was touched on in magazines like Hush-Hush and other scandal rags of the 40s and 50s (or was that just in James Ellroy's book/movie L.A. Confidential?).

MJ is going down, if he's not then he's going to be like OJ, and just won't be able to show his face in public at all.

My big question is what's going to happen to the Gloved One's money? Does he have any left? There have been rumors that MJ is broke, or that he mortaged all his lucrative music catalogs to Sony, or that he squandered it all on Bubbles The Chimp's funeral service. Who The Hell Knows?

Do Mayors Matter?

Here's an email I received from a friend of mine who still suffers the indignation of living in Cleveland, OH.

About a year ago I predicted in one of my joke/commentary emails that Cleveland mayor Lame...I mean, Jane..Campbell would handily win re-election as mayor of Cleveland.
As ineffectual a mayor as she's been, I stand by that statement.

Should a majority black city like Cleveland have a black mayor. Does it matter? Does anybody care? Nope...and here are five reasons why:

1. The Hood is The Hood...Is The Hood - Former Cleveland mayors Carl Stokes, George Voinovich et. al. What's the commonality. The hood remains f__d up no matter who is mayor...black, white or purple. Potholes and check cashing joints will remain whether it's 1968 or 2008.

2. Big Bucks/Safe Gig Factor - Often, persons highly regarded enough or with enough money to run for and win a mayoral election are better off remaining partners of law firms or CEOs of this or that rather than throwing that away for a thankless $120K per year job with more critics than supporters.

3. Cities Don't Matter - Money, public policies and voters are increasingly directed to suburbs and exurbs (places that were...and in some cases still are...as country as a chicken coop just a few years ago). Why brave the grimy streets of Cleveland for treatment at The Cleveland Clinic when there is an outpost of the Clinic in the suburbs of Strongsville or Mentor?

4. "It's All About The Bucks...The Rest is Just Conversation" - Michael Douglas' character Gordon Gekko uttered those words in the 1987 film "Wall Street" and they could not be more applicable today. If you can put together a coalition of city residents to vote for you and corporate fat cats to fund and advance your agenda...you too can be mayor...and it doesn't mattter if you're whiter than Michael Jackson or black like Don Cheadle.

5. Corporations Run Cities...Not Mayors - A piggy back on #4. When Ford Motor Company says jump, the city of Detroit and the state of Michigan say how high. Same game everywhere. Mayors are but figureheads in the redistributuion of an incredibly shrinking corporate largess.

The best job of pulling the wool over the public's eyes has been the consolidation of civic power by Fortune 500 Companies AT THE EXPENSE of America's most touted democracy, and the "democratic ideals" that we're looking to foist on the rest of the world...? That's the biggets excuse that I've heard in regards to how corporate America can continue to take over the world.

Although that stranglehold is loosening, because China is making a lot of side oil deals with all the energy producing nations that the US is striking out against 'cause of Human Rights abuses (ranging from Venezula to Iran to Sudan). In 20 years the world is going to need 40 million more barrels of oil a day -- where it that going to come from considering that OPEC hasn't increased capacity in decades.

It's so laughable it makes me cry.

The Inevitable Rise of Poor, who witll Riot and Rob

In the most recent "State of the Union" our current Crawford, Texan President seeks to slash government entitlements, does he honestly expect the poor fuckers who don't know how to manage their welfare checks to be able to invest wisely for their future?

In country where the savings rate is lower than the interest rates, you have to wonder to people (speaking broadly and stereotypically) EVER consider "that rainy day." I sure didn't. About four years ago I went out to buy a new car, as I had some money in the bank and a well-paying job. However, I lost my job in the aftermath of bin Laden's dicksmacking of the US and I have struggled to have a full-time job that paid me at least $10 more than subsistance wages. I recently had a great contract job paying around $1100 a week, but I was so in the hole 'cause of the car payments (three months behind when I finally got the job) that by the time the job ended I was just treading water again (as opposed to drowning earlier).

The U.S. is increasingly becoming a Third World Nation, and why is no one addressing this? Is it because that's too much to consider? Is the nation, as it's being run by the GOP, in a state of denial? The GOP will be where our version of a military junta is culled.

It's like that Chapelle Show skit, if you are a celebrity or better yet, if you have something to loose, then you better get a broad to sign some document before you even give her a kiss. What is wont to happen is the broad is going to try to get over.

In this Cosby situation, apparently nothing happened outside of some fondling and what kind of drugs is Cosby peddling to people. How old is the broad in question to? In her 20s, 30s or 40s?

Only thing that makes Cosby look like a CHUMP, is that he's been slamming the nigga-youth for fucking-up and now here he is in the paper. I bet this doesn't come out if Cosby wasn't in the press some much lately 'cause of his attacks on the Nigga Youth in America today.

Cosby has been in this place twice before - once with his son's murder, and then other time with that broad who claimed she was his daughter (where the DNA testing showed her claim was complete fraud).

Cos has every right to say what he's been saying to the Ghetto Fabulous kids of the 90s (The Decade of Regurgitation), because in a period of supreme socio-economic transition American Blacks - by in large those kicking it in the most impoverished sections of the country - are taking 4 steps back for every one forward.

I want to know what Cos supposedly "drugged" this woman with? Weed? Coke? Rohypnol? What? And old celebrities are entitled to skimming young trim, just ask Clint Eastwood!
