What's next? I don't know, do you? Who am I? I am someone who makes films. What do I do? I look through viewfinders. And how do I live? I live by the skin of my teeth.

Shrub's main reason for actively flaunting the law -- this time -- is the al-Qaeda is THE ENEMY, and this Enemy adapts to the rigors of war (what combatant doesn't? A dead one!).

Bush be up here throwin' 'round the term THE ENEMY like it's coded word to increase the level of paranoia amongst the citizenery, and is shown a glimpse into the mind of a man who's out of touch with the people he's governing (whether they wanted him or not).

Also it smacks of a binary intrepretation of the world stage -- you're either with us, or against us!

I wonder if there is going to be any kind of repercussions for Bush? Probably nothing like what Clinton suffered through just 'cause he stuck a cigar in an interns dickslot! I mean the man authorized the transgression of a mainstay of American governmental standards (even if those standards deal with clandestine operations) -- we don't spy on our people, unless we get a court order. How hard is it to get a court order? It can even been hush-hush so the vigilant press corps can't blabber the info to the world and technosphere...

I'm not one to say that the terrorist threat isn't real, and needs it's just focus, but I know that the government uses this so-called ENEMY THREAT as a means to fuck with our general wellbeing and stress levels.

No wonder people call 43 and his team THE DEVIL.
