I was reminded of Clarence Thomas' retort to Anita HIll this morning as a shuffld through CNN.COM... they ran a story on phrases that quickly became part of the every day lexicon, stuff like "if the glove doesn't fit, then you must aquit" and "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Monica Lewinsky."

Thomas decried Anita Hill by claiming she was seduced (money or otherwise) to step forward and that her testimony was character assassination/public lynching for an upity "nigga." (my quotes)...

Honestly, I don't even understand this man's thought processes, and how he can in good conscience continue to serve as a Supremor. It still rattles the hell out of me, and it's probably what? 15 years old at this point. But damn, the man just has no sense of leadership, no sense of being a trailblazer and he's stridently anti-"can a brotha get a hand-out" in a time when Niggaz are getting beat-up by society in a way that they have never had in the past.

It's worse now that even for the so-called African-American because the insidiuous pressures of the popular age have sliced the black man's Achilles' tendon, and he's up here bleeding and no one's even thinking he's hurt 'cause he's sporting some gold jewels.
