This week the Obama Administration has enacted edicts to cap executive pay for financial companies and the big banks. Bravo, bravo, bravo.
Now many critics are clamoring that this is socialist, that this yanks the core out of capitalism (being paid a heinously high wage for your skill set), and that it'll stifle competition or cause a "brain drain" at this top
The so-called skill that these top financial wizards really have is the moxy to bet large and bet large often where the odds of success are rigged to work out, but in the extreme happenings that the bets don't pay off, Satan comes calling to the American Taxpayer.
The upper level managers at the big banks WILL NOT be hurting by having actually salary caps, because they're getting unlimited compensation in stock options... which means that the quest to drive up the stock prices (short term gain over long term growth once again) will continue to put at risk everyone else's wealth. Not to mention that these people will be able to borrow against the future worth of the stock options (that will no doubt be worth a lot, because these oligarchs WILL ensure that the stock price continues to rise -- at the expense of what else? who knows, but surely it's at the expense of the lower classes' pensions and future well-being.
My bunghole hurts just thinking about how big of dildo Wall Street is going to shove up it -- with no vaseline -- next time.
I heard something today, which has to be bullshit, but probably not and I'll have to do some research to find out. In any event, the tidbit of news was that Bank of America will be charging its credit card customers a few who PAY OFF THEIR ENTIRE BALANCE EACH MONTH! Yeah, seriously you must pay Bank of America interest fees if you carry a balance or pay a fee just to keep the card if you carry no balance (and they have the nerve to maintain the name "bank of america", should be the "bank of the soviet republic").
Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's too close to what a bullshit credit card company like First Premier does (you have to pay $6/month "service" fee... regardless if you have a balance or not just to keep your account open... on top of the annual fee and any interest charges you get for whatever balance you have).
Take the dick out of my ass BofA, please!?!!?
Wells Fargo, run by cheap fucker John G. Stumpf, no doubt has something similar in the works that they'll announce shortly.
It would seem that American Express isn't such a bad option with their $55 annual fee... at least if you're the type of person who doesn't want to carry a credit card balance and uses the credit card as a cash substitute, not a loan. Getting a loan these days is just a pernicious hassle if banks like BofA and Wells Fargo are going to spread your buttchecks and expand your sphincter with a baseball bat.
The Oligarchical power that the Wall Street Banks exhibit, subtly, is really a direct result of Ronald Reagan's presidency. Remember President Eisenhower's Farewell Speech, in which he warned about the heinous and pernicious power grab that the Military Industrial Complex was working? Well, during Reagan's administration, he fucking embraced the Military Industrial Complex and made the majority of Americans think it was unpatriotic not to do so!!!
You want to know why America can pay for healthcare and why Social Security is such an atomic bomb in national politics? Because of Reagan's excessive military spending on programs that were just complete bullshit designed to line the pockets of rich fucks. Remember SDI? The Strategic Defense Initiative? It was Reagan's military business CEOs wanting more money, and Reagan pushed through the spending measure on some program in which laser satellites were going to shoot down Soviet ICBMs... yeah,... how completely idiotic does that sound. Considering the fact that no one knows if ICBMs actually will work... they've never been tested! Do yo know that! The idea of sending missiles over the North Pole is lunacy, because who knows if the extreme magnetism won't trip up the guidance system.
That's why the nuclear submarine fleet is of infinite more importance, we know those SAM warheads actually work.
But Reagan tricked the public into thinking that America needed to outspend the Soviets, when it was known by the CIA DURING NIXON'S TIME that the Soviets were no real military threat... and yet, for another 15 years money was wasted on building up the military at the expense of reducing the deficit, money that could have been spent on renewable energy. Jimmy Carter had solar panels installed on the White House (which Reagan tore down like the complete jackass that he was), and just imagine if Reagan did help orchestrate Carter's defeat by colluding with the Ayatollah Khomenini and Carter's policies on getting the US off its oil addiction had been in effect for the another 4 years? Where would we be known regarding the quest for Green Energy Sources? A lot fucking further than we are now... but Exxon and the rest of Big Oil was funding Reagan and the rest of the GOP SOBs... to the benefit of whom? The top CEOs, Board Members and major block shareholders... at the expense of the planet and the American taxpayers wallets.
Reagan jammed a fat dick up our asses and we still can't get it out, because we now have to make hard as FUCK decisions regarding healthcare, social security and green energy... all the while letting the
If the US had adopted Carter's ideals about renewable energy, the Jihadi movement wouldn't be so powerful, because by around 1990 to 1994, the US wouldn't need so much oil from the Middle East and its zealots wouldn't have thought of the World Trade Center as such a massive target.
Can we take Reagan's cock out of our ass now? Please, it's still hurts even though it's been pumping in and out for the past 25 years...
What's next? I don't know, do you? Who am I? I am someone who makes films. What do I do? I look through viewfinders. And how do I live? I live by the skin of my teeth.

Roadblocks To Your Future Well-Being

Senator Charles E. Grassley believes that a Public Option for Healthcare Insurance will ultimately force private insurers out of busines... is that a bad thing? I guess it is if you're running for national public office, because you can get so much campaign contribution (selling your asshole to get fucked by the big dick of the corporate oligarchs that are running things) from insurance companies.
Grassley claims that the Federal Public Health Program will run the market, and "that doesn't sound like a level playing field to me." Here's what's wrong with that jackass statement -- when is the playing field ever level? Particularly since the Reagan Revolution and the complete deregulation and destruction of the Unions pretty much canted the playing field - permanently in favor the 1% oligarchs who run things in this so-called democracy (what's that favored book? The Best Democracy Money Can Buy
Any Democratic Senators who are afraid of not getting re-elected if they vote FOR a Public Option in the impending healthcare reform legislation need to be voted out of office in ANY EVENT! Because they're letting their petty personal desire to stay in the Senate (and reap the personal benefits) override what is best for the American Citizenry... who they are supposed to be represent. It's funny (well, sad, actually), how money all of a sudden causes Senators to factor out the little man. Just because I can't contribute to your campaign, but live in your realm of control, doesn't mean that I'm not affected by your actions and votes.
The one thing I expect to happen regarding health care is that the American public still pays out the ass for insufficient healthcare. Whatever the "cost" of a Public Option is or will be, it's certainly going to be nowhere near the cost that Dubya and Tricky Dick's unwarranted war has cost us in seven years of struggle with a people that can't get their act together to at least better themselves. Saddam was one mean cuss, but he kept all those combustible Iraqi factions in their place. Although, if you think about it, what's happening now it was would have happened in any event once Saddam died. His perverted and corrupted and twisted and sadistic sons wouldn't be able to run Iraq, they would fight amongst themselves over who should be in charge and then a civil war would be on the horizon... where the factions would be Qusay v. Uday v. the Shi'ites... but it would have been their mess, not a quagmire that sucks and sucks and sucks American tax payer dollars down a drain that doesn't even feed us cheaper than cheap oil. So no, the Public Option would damage this 1/6th component of the economy, it would find a way to
What's just too damn scary is that Medicare and Medicaid are going to bankrupt the economy in any event. Maybe the Sarah Palin prognosticated death panels aren't out of the question, seeing how without proper healthcare cost reform it'll be too expensive to keep sick old bags.

Hold These MuthaF*cka Accountable!

President Barak Obama just finished his speech to both houses of Congress regarding the problems facing us with the health care reform legislation that he wants to see passed.
He made one supremely telling statement, a CEO of an Insurance company got up in front of the Senate and made some statement about how employees are encouraged to drop long-paying customers who happen to get sick, because they need to boost profits. The same CEO said this is done because of "Wall Street's Relentless Profit Expectations" - THIS is the true barbarian at the gate, ready to rape and pillage. In fact, it (Wall Street's thirst for ever increasing profits) has been pretty much raping, pillaging and stealing from the general public UNCHECKED since Ronald Reagan rolled up into the Oval Office.

Their Power Is Unparralled

We don't even really know how tight the Corporate Power Structure
There was a recent episode of Warren Olney's Show Which Way L.A. in which he was discussing the fact that most medical students avoid being general practitioners because the pay is so low and the cost to run an office and deal with the bullshit insurance bureaucracy siphons off any kind of cash that they may make. This doctor from the heartland of California was talking about how specialists get three and four times the amount, when a regular internist can provide the same care. And another doctor was stating that the drug companies pay kickbacks and bonuses to doctors who prescribe their pharmaceuticals... or the sales reps for the expense ass machines like MRIs also pay kickbacks when those machines are incorporated in part of the regimen for ATTEMPTING to deduce what is wrong with someone. The fact that all these doctors and hospitals are in the pocket on the Drug Companies isn't shocking, it's appalling. It makes you wonder if you can really trust the diagnosis, because the doctor making the claims could be making enough cash for the mortgage on his vacation home by slangin' oxycontin or xanax or God knows what other drug is being prescribed (like all the fucking anti-depressant drugs that are on the market. There's even boost Anti-Depressants that extent the reach of shit like Zoloft.
Americans need to be very afraid of the Corporate Power Structure, it's not just the military industrial complex that we need to be vigilant about, it's the financial-industrial-chemical complex that is standing with its foot on our neck, and must people are just too dumb to realize it.
Paul Krugman's NYTimes Editorial excoriated the right-wing/GOP/Confederates and the outright lies that they're offering the public as the alternative to Obama-care; these lies serve who? You guessed it!
But Krugman makes some interesting points about how potentially ungovernable the nation is (just like California has proven to be), because of the lines drawn in the sand by the members of the Republican / Confederate party, "Given the combination of G.O.P. extremism and corporate power, it’s now doubtful whether health reform, even if we get it — which is by no means certain — will be anywhere near as good as Nixon’s proposal (you have to read the whole article for this explanation), even though Democrats control the White House and have a large Congressional majority.
And what about other challenges? Every desperately needed reform I can think of, from controlling greenhouse gases to restoring fiscal balance, will have to run the same gauntlet of lobbying and lies.
I’m not saying that reformers should give up. They do, however, have to realize what they’re up against. There was a lot of talk last year about how Barack Obama would be a “transformational” president — but true transformation, it turns out, requires a lot more than electing one telegenic leader. Actually turning this country around is going to take years of siege warfare against deeply entrenched interests, defending a deeply dysfunctional political system."
So where are we when it comes to uncuffing the LLC Shackles? When these idiots in the town hall meetings scream that they want their America back, I somehow doubt they mean the pre-70s America, when corporate lobbyists and interests didn't steal the governing from Main Street and put all the decisions in the hands of Wall Street and those sitting in boardrooms smoking cigar and sipping brandy, chuckling gleefully as they continue to bad their pockets at the expense of the hard working people who make up the dramatically dwindling middle class.

Uncle Tom Redux

Anyone know the race of the Malcolm X Assassins?
They were BLACK! Yes, actual African-Americans... who has transformed into the worst Unkle Toms imaginable... or as we could say today, into Clarence Thomases...
This so-called Black Man - a Clarence Thomas emulator if I ever saw one (and obviously a bitch-ass, card-carrying GOP member) was kicking it at the President Obama's speech yesterday... not Obama's speech on gun rights, but his speech about Health Insurance Reform, brandishing an AR-15 ranging from his shoulder and pistol on his belt. Whatever this nouveau CT's real name is, he was part of a group of fools at the rally. When this bespectacled so-called Black man was asked why he was toting his guns at a Presidential speech, proclaimed, "Because I can do it. In Arizona, I still have some freedoms."
Still have some freedoms? Is he living in the West Bank or the Gaza Strip? Who does this zealot think he is? No doubt this deluded NeoCon-reactionary believes that some of his freedoms are being stripped away only 7 months into the Obama Presidency, as if there are ANY left after the last eight years of Dubya Bush's reign over America! I don't recall any legislation being passed that presses down on the so-called Freedoms of America (as they can be suspended at any time, just ask the Dubya Bush stream of attorneys general!)
The 2nd Amendment is so abused by Conservatives it's down-right sick... makes me gag that people actually parse up the lines of the Amendment, picking and choosing what the hell they think is appropriate for their brand of ignorance...
If ANY Black Man had a visible gun at a Dubya Bush rally, he'd be waterboarded to an inch of his life within in 5 minutes of capture... oh, because you know there would be an arrest. Just on GP, a racial profiling case that would get brushed under the rug after a quick visit by Dick Cheney... we all know that's how it would have went down.
The conservative movement in America, in any country really, is where the dangerous zealots, extremists and namby-pamby knuckleheads are born... be afraid of these people, be very afraid...

GOP Scare Tactics...

For some reason the GOP/Confederate Party of America is trying to hornswoggle the general American public into thinking that a government-backed version of Health Care is for shit!
I was watching Fox News Channel the other day and they had this "Canadian" citizen on talking about how the universal health care system in Canada failed her when it came to diagnosing and treating her cancer. How she got the run-around, and then she ultimately had to come to the US to find the right specialist to save her life (first of all she should have gone to Cuba and saved a lot more money and gotten equal or better treatment).
But this is a PISS POOR case example, because we all know that "The System" wasn't the reason why this bitch was misdiagnosed... it was that she had bad doctors, and bad doctors aren't exclusive to national health care systems -- shit, just look at all the malpractice cases that are filled EVERY WEEK in the US with it's so-called top quality health care. The US falls behind MOROCCO in terms of overall health care for its citizens, so no shit talking about nationalized health care being for chumps who embrace socialism. It doesn't matter how health care is paid for, you can have a bad doctor. [Say it isn't so, Ramses, say it isn't so!!!] I mean just because you pay out the ass for a doctor's visit THAT YOUR HMO TOLD YOU WHO YOU COULD SEE doesn't mean that they're steering you to the best practitioner. The HMO bastards are steering you toward WHO IS ACCEPTING THAT HMO... who knows what the criteria for that is? I'm sure it's not the most-cutting edge, highly respected specialist! That's for god damn sure!!!
Also, how many stories have been related to you in which someone was stricken with some unique-as-fuck ailment and had to crisscross all over the country to find that ONE specialist who could help them and give them a new lease on life? I bet you your house and your mom's house that the HMO didn't cover that treatment or the travel costs either!!!
American Doctors and the rest of the gouge-you-for-all-you're-worth medical system lobby is once again succeeding with its propaganda coup in convincing the woefully gullible American public that government health care will be bad for.
Let's consider something, most health care goes to the poor and the old -- and those expenses are covered by MediCare and MedicAid, something like 60%, yeah, 60 fucking %, of health care is ALREADY SUPERVISED by the government.
You mean to tell me that you want private health insurance running everything? Have you fallen for the shit that GOP's anointed one - Ronald Reagan -- pushed down your throat that government is bad, that government doesn't work? If that's they case, then why do you want government to operate the military? Why do you want to have all that money spent on defense, because those same government bureaucrats are the ones who can't get shit done in Washington!! Maybe we should let private industry run the military... I'm sure Blackwater and the rest of those high-paid mercenaries can do just as good if not a better job than the Green Berets, SEALS, Rangers and the rest of the Special Forces, let alone fly the F-22 and Blackhawks better than the air calvary unit and the Air Force, because for some reason under the GOP mindset the only branch of the government that works is the military... and yet they fuck up all the damn time to! Can you say Abu Ghraib? Can you say Somali during the Blackhawk Down Inicident?
So don't fall for the horse-shit that government doesn't work, but except the government to protect your ass from global threats. If the government doesn't work, it's because the GOP/Republican/Confederates have slashed the funding, so every governmental institution is under-funded. I mean no wonder government doesn't work if they're understaffed by 40% and can't be competitive salaries!

It's the INSURANCE INDUSTRY, STUPID!

The political mantra, "it's the economy, stupid" was the prime-time reason for the changing of the guard in most political contests in the West, particularly in America. But what's happening now in the national debate over health care is that people are taking their eye of the ball -- which is the scurrilous straight bitches who work in the insurance industry.

ROADBLOCKS BY BITCHES IN THE GOP/CONFEDERATE PARTY

The RNC -- which is claiming that the current blacklash against President Barak Obama's health care/insurance reform plan is a grassroots movement -- just plum plain forgot that couple of weeks ago announces that the RNC was going to spend $1million in a campaign to discredit or “cast a shadow” on President Barak Obama’s health care revamp initiative. Like WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?
Seriously is Michael Steele the biggest Uncle Tom/Clarence Thomas that has ever been produced (outside of those “brothas” that shot Malcolm X)??? If ever a black man needed a lynching (which I never advocate, except in dire and extreme circumstances)
You can’t reasonably believe that Obama’s plan is catastrophic, and why the fuck do the GOP/Republician/BigBusiness Fucktoys continually deride, denounce and destroy attempts to revamp healthcare. This will be the reason why I move out of the United States, because Health Care costs just eat up too much.
Granted America is filled with fat, over-fucking-weight slobs who munch down on too much fast food and have all around shitty diets which start causing harm from your late 30s until you die, and that needs to change for any change in the cost of health care to be meaningful as non-wasted expenses in a family’s yearly financial structure.
Those GOP/Confederate fucks wasted our time and the tax payers money with Sonya Sotomayor hearings, focusing in on her stance that a Latin woman is more wise than a white man – no doubt that is true, because white men when they get to a certain age and achieved a certain level of power to make decisions that more than their immediate family have either committed a lot heinous crimes or are just ignorant and stubborn about their ignorance.
I heard some White Trash Bitch claim that the government shouldn't have control over 1/6 (or 1/7) of the national economy... uh, bitch, they control 110% of the national economy -- if they want to, have you considered that? And 60% of health is already run by Washington Desk jockeys... get your head out of your ass.
